IFE NURSING DEBATE AND QUIZ SOCIETY

The Ife Nursing Debate and Quiz Society ( INDAQS), OAU has grown from a society pioneered by four nursing students to one in which other NUNSAites see as a viable platform to garner momentum on the traditional role of advocacy of the nurse through intellectual discourse and public debates, become vast about trending issues in the profession and beyond and to improve on the skill of quizing. These have not only proven to be academically benefitial but also a green light to radical reformation in the nursing profession.

Since its inception in the fall of 2014, the society has participated in a number of contests.Following are a list of them with positions held:



1. University of Ibadan Inaugural Debate competition Sept 2014 - 1st position.


2. Ife pharmacy's 'This is war' speech contest
3.Quiz competition, Wesley Guild S.O.N Ilesha - 2nd position

4. University of Ibadan Quiz competition - 1st position

The society thus far has in its store a collection of beautiful plaques, certificates and other awards.


The society will be launched at the Nursing Leadership Summit (NLS) in December this year and is expected to be replicated in all Universities in Nigeria offering Nursing science,whereby it will be called NUNDAQS (Nigerian Universities Nursing Debate and Quiz Society).

​The Mace is the symbol of the authority of the House. At the beginning and end of the sitting - the Speaker is preceded by the Mace, which is carried by the Serjeant-at-arms on his right shoulder. AWARENESS On Monday, 16 th November, 2015, students of the prestigious department turned out massively to let the whole campus know about NUNSA week. Decked in their colourful jerseys, nursing students from every level in the hostel trouped from hostel to hostel amidst much dancing, singing spreading the message of the arrival of the much anticipated NUNSA week. PART TIME CLASS FACELIFT As part of the NUNSA week, the executives of NUNSA OAU and students of the department painted the part time room as a contribution to the department.
