FRESHERS WEEK

The fresher’s week which took place from May 31st – June 2nd was a mind blowing one I must say. It started with the seminar which held at HSLT B. The opening address was given by the Head of Department, Dr. Mrs. Ogunfowokan.
Thereafter, the year one part adviser Mrs. Adereti had a word of advise with them before the guest speaker Mrs. Abass (RN B.NSC) spoke on the topic “BUILDING A CAREER IN NURSING, THE PROSPECTS AND CHALLENGES”. It was an eye opener to many as they all commended the executives for a job weldone
Day 2 was all fun as it was an outdoor affair. The school’s teaching hospital was visited as well as the Ooni’s palace. Sincerely, it was fun, educating and adventure all the way.
The grand finale was the Dinner night. The dinner started at about 10pm and it was also a captivating one as such. Mr. and Mrs.Fresher were chosen also the face of NUNSA was awarded. Other side attraction were also included as we had intriguing performances from NUNSITES

NUNSA OAU Just Acquired It Mace

​The Mace is the symbol of the authority of the House. At the beginning and end of the sitting - the Speaker is preceded by the Mace, which is carried by the Serjeant-at-arms on his right shoulder. When the Speaker is in the Chair, that is, when the House is sitting as a House, the Mace lies on the Table of the House, resting in the upper brackets. When the House sits as a committee, that is, when the Speaker leaves the Chair, the Mace is removed into the lower brackets beneath the Table. When the Mace is not in the House, no business can be carried out. The Mace of the House of Representatives is the symbol not only of the Royal authority but of the authority of the House.
